I began my career in the Hearing Aid Business on July 1st, 1980 as a consultant with Beltone Hearing Aid Center. At that time, Beltone Hearing Aid Center was located on Main St. in Napa, CA. I left Beltone and established Microtone Hearing Aid Center in April, 1983 at 1834 1st St. in Napa. I moved to 2800 Jefferson Street, Napa, CA in July of 1990, and have operated the practice there ever since. Over the years, I have owned and operated Hearing Aid Practices in Fairfield, Vallejo, Sonoma, Clearlake, Lakeport, and Calistoga. To date, the practices in Lakeport and Napa remain as our permanent locations. With the addition of my two sons, Brian and Joel Duguay, we are planning on continuing to serve the residents of the Napa Valley and anyone who can benefit from our services. In July of 2008 I will begin my 29th year in the Hearing Aid Business. Microtone Hearing Aid Center carries with it the distinction of being the oldest continuously-owned and soley-owned Hearing Aid Practice in the Napa Valley.
My Name is Brian Duguay, and I work with people who want to improve the quality of their life, by helping them hear better on a daily basis. I was born in San Francisco and raised in the Napa Valley. I attended Vintage High School in Napa from 1988 to 1992. After graduating, I earned an Associates Degree at Santa Rosa Junior College followed by a Bachelor’s of Arts and a Master’s of Science in Audiology at San Francisco State University. I finished my Masters Degree in 2003. I am currently enrolled in a doctorate program at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry – School of Audiology, and set to receive my Doctor of Audiology Degree (Au.D.) on May 23, 2008.
I have been working as a licensed Clinical Audiologist at Mills-Peninsula Health Services in San Mateo over the past 5 years as well as Microtone Hearing Aid Center in Napa over the past 4 years. I am experienced with diagnostic testing of the hearing and balance systems for individuals of all ages. I specialize in hearing loss and hearing aid technologies including assistive listening devices, Bluetooth technology, loop systems, etc.
I work with a team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in people’s lives. We are a family owned practice and are the oldest continuously-owned hearing aid practice in the Napa Valley, having been in operation since the early 1980’s. Microtone Hearing Aid Center is dedicated to preserving and improving the hearing health status of our fellow residents of the Napa Valley and others who seek our help. We deliver excellent service and care with a passion for what we provide and respect for those we serve. By providing services and information for hearing loss prevention and management, we empower our patients to take a greater role in their own hearing health and social wellness.
My Name is Joel Duguay, and I treat people suffering from any degree of hearing loss in order to help them hear better and greatly improve their quality of life.
I was born and raised in the Napa Valley and attended Vintage High School from 1992 to 1996. Upon my graduation from high school, I was accepted into the Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering program at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA.
I graduated near the top of my class (Cum Laude) with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Upon my graduation, I worked for a few years with Pacific Gas and Electric Company primarily in Santa Rosa, CA.
In 2007, I received my CA Hearing Aid Dispenser’s License and joined the family practice at Microtone Hearing Aid Center. My brother Brian Duguay (Clinical Audiologist) and my father Michael Duguay (Owner, CA Hearing Aid Dispenser) make up the practice at Microtone.
Since joining Microtone Hearing Aid Center, we have reached out to the community and have dedicated our service by performing educational presentations on hearing loss and hearing aids, and how to cope with a hearing loss. In addition, we are very active in the retirement communities within the Valley.
At Microtone, we put the patient first and ensure that the patient’s needs are the focus of our efforts to correct their hearing impairment. As trained professionals in the hearing health field, not only is our expertise second to none, so is our service.
